Dr. Anita Chakraborty, Technical Coordinator- Wetland International, South Asia was facilitated the training. The training programme included the local field visit in order to share the field evidences with participants. The issue of tidal river management has been discussed in the training with special emphasis on Uttaran’s field experiences. It is expected that Uttaran will mobilize and aware community in order to stop the encroachment of catchment area and conversion of land use into agriculture and fish culture which ultimately allow the high tide water of river into flood plain area for releasing its carrying silt.
