Inauguration of digital land survey & Awareness building seminar

The open seminar was arranged at Mohonpur upazilla in Rajshahi on 14 December, 2014.  The meeting was inaugurated by the special guest, honorable land minister, Mr. Shamsur Rahman Sharif; the main guest, the district commissioner of Rajshahi, Md. Mejbah Uddin Chowdhuri  and six more special guests, Mr. Md. Ayen Uddin (MP, Rajshahi, Land Ministry), Mr. Md. Shafiul Alam (Senior Secretary, Land Ministry), Md. Abdul Jalil (Dirctor, Department of Land Record and Survey), Mr. Helaluddin Ahmad (District Commissioner, Rajshahi), Mr. Alamgir Kabir (Superintendent of Police, Rajshahi) and Mr. Abdus Sammad (Upazila Chairman, Mohonpur, Rajshahi) . The program was arranged by the land ministry with the support of Uttaran.  At the beginning the land minister unveiled the plaque to forward the digital land survey activities in Mohonpur. Then the organizers welcomed the Minister on the stage with the flower bouquet.  Land minister conveyed greetings to all and promised to make digital Bangladesh without any landless people for which he wanted local people’s support to success the vision 2021.

The program was held successfully. All the invited persons presented useful speech and all the attendees understand every message clearly relevant with the digital land survey. The national project director of the project ‘Strengthening Access to Land & Property Rights for all citizens of Bangladesh’, Md. Shamsul Alam attended the program. He said that through the digitalization process the land ownership and the purchase system will be done with accountability. Moreover, it would be helpful to identify the all khashlands to patronize the economic growth of the country.
