Learning Sharing of Cambodia visit on Land Reform
A team of 12 members of SALE and PMU have visited Cambodia during 8-16 November, 2014 in order to observe and learn the ongoing land reform activities particularly role of different stakeholders in the overall land governance. The learning of visit has shared with wider stakeholders including government, donors and NGOs through a workshop organised by SALE project on 9 February at BRAC Inn. The objective of visit was to disseminate the observation and learning  of the visit and to discuss on future replication in Bangladesh. Participants of different organisations i.e. Action Aid, MJF, CARE, HDRC, Nijera Kori, Uttaran, Department of Land Records and Survey (DLRS), Ministry of Land, Ministry of Public Administration were joined the workshop.

Mr. Pasi Rajander’ Senior International Operations Manager & Capacity Building Advisor of PTAT was facilitated the workshop with assistance of Ms. Rashida Akter, Communication and Documentation Officer of SALE project. Mr. Mamun Ur Rashid, Project Coordinator of SALE project has delivered the presentation on the learning visit.  MR. Shamsul Alam, (Joint Secretary) National Project Director of Project, Rina Roy, Director-Rights of MJF and Fatima Halima Ahmed, Coordinator of Uttaran were present in the plenary sessions.

Please note that Uttaran is implementing a project `Sustainable Access to Land Equality-SALE with consortium of CARE and MJF. The SALE project is the part of the land governance reform in Bangladesh under the objective of Strengthening Access to Land and Property Rights for all Citizens of Bangladesh (referred to hereafter as: the overall Access-to-Land-programme) with funding support of EU. Project Management Unit-PMU of the Department of Land Records and Surveys (DLRS) under Ministry of Land is leading the project with major aspects of reform. SALE project has been involved with a set of complementary activities mainly to enhance public participation and pro-poor orientation of the overall reform.
